Considering Futures? - At CFS, you don't have to face the Futures markets alone.
Illusion/Reality
We have all witnessed the Greatest robbery of wealth since the beginning of time. Shear fraud, incompetent management and accounting scandals: all done right in front of our eyes. ... A case of now you see the money; now you don't. Many 401K's are now 201K's having drastically shrunk in value.
Now that the money has evaporated, the U S government has stepped in to assure us that our money is "safe" and that this can't possibly happen again. They have "slapped" the wrists of the brokerage firms and their so called research departments and the wrists of the fraudlent CEO's. Insulting prision terms. Fining brokerage firms "penny's on the dollar" to show us that they mean business. But where is a majority of the fines going??? You guessed right: not where the money belongs (the shareholder's pockets); but into the pockets of attorneys!
FUTURES:
People who invest in the Futures markets come from all walks of life. They invest in the Futures markets because they seek the opportunity to either "speculate" with their money or "hedge"/reduce risks. Farmers, Doctors, Attorneys, Teachers, Salesmen, Business Owners and Retired people are among the many people participating in the Futures markets.
Many Futures are items necessary for human survival (not to be compared to the worthless pieces of paper that stock certificates are printed on. See: World-com, Enron, K Mart). COPPER wires run through your house, providing electricity to cook and light your house. HEATING OIL or NATURAL GAS either warms or cools your house. Your house was probably made with some LUMBER.
When you awoke this morning, you may have put on clothing made with COTTON. Did you have a cup of COFFEE or a glass of ORANGE JUICE for breakfast? Did you put SUGAR on your cereal? Did you have WHEAT toast? How about bacon (PORK BELLIES)? Did you have a salad for lunch? The salad dressing was made from SOYBEAN OIL. How about a steak for dinner (CATTLE)? When you went to work or shopping, did you have to stop and put some GASOLINE in your car? .... We think you are getting the idea!
The Commodities listed above are all effected by Supply and Demand. Reports are frequently issued listing: the supplies on hand, the # of acres being planted, crop conditions, weather outlooks and the forecasted demand for the specific Commodity.
But most of all, when Futures are traded, money does not evaporate. For every person who makes money, there is someone who has lost money. The money still exists! That is extremely important! The money is still there. In addition, all of the Commodities listed above can not go to zero (again unlike the many stocks which we have just witnessed going bankrupt). They will always have a value!
We believe you can see the dramtic potential Futures offer*. It is our philosophy to profit through the utilization of the Futures markets, searching for what we consider under-valued or over-valued Investment opportunities and acting on them in a prudent and business-like manner. Simple as that!
